Though a new Netflix show Witch is making headlines around the world right now, if it wasn't for CD Projekt's Geralt video game, the entire series based on Andrzej S apkowski's novels might not be as popular or as successful as they are today.
With this in mind, it comes as a relief to hear a Polish fairy tale and Polish game developer and publisher sign a new agreement that strengthens their relationship.
The agreement fully satisfies and clarifies the needs and expectations of both parties, past and present, and sets out a framework for future cooperation between the two parties.
In addition to this, it provides new CD Projekt rights and guarantees the company's title "The Witcher" intellectual property in the form of video games, graphics novels, board games, and sales.
CD Projekt Red President and CD Projekt Red Manager Adam Kiciński said the agreement sets out how the company will work with Sapkowski:
We always enjoy the activities of Mr Andrzej Sapkowski – the band's biggest inspiration here at CD ProJEKT RED. I believe that today marks a new phase in our ongoing relationship.
It's good to see that the two have already agreed to a deal, as was the case with Andrzej Sapkowski very important of past video games, and go it was revealed how he sold CD Projekt Red rights again and withdrew the company's profits percentage because he did not believe the games would be successful.
