Now that Christmas is behind us, many community-driven games have begun to focus on Lunar New Year events. One of those games Rocket League, by Psionix.
To celebrate the Lunar New Year, there will be a match event starting in the Rocket League on January 20. This will also include the opportunity to gain special points from the Event store, unlock different items in the Item store and try out a brand new, forbidden temple.

Start in 2020 with a style of in-game items inspired by the Lantern Festival. Play online comparisons to find red Envelopes, which can be redeemed with things like Paper Dragon Topper and Fortune Wheels. You can also use Red Envelopes to unlock Golden Lanterns, which contain items from Champions Series 1, 2, and 3! Also, be sure to stop by the Item Shop throughout the Lucky Lanterns to check out the new article features to get ready for the festival, and get a free sign-up item!

- Lucky Lanterns begins: January 20, 2020 10 a.m. PST (6:00 p.m. UTC)
- Landerns end: February 10, 2020 at 10 a.m. PST (6:00 p.m. UTC)
- Apply Red Envelope by: February 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. PST (6:00 p.m. UTC)
