Specifically, after the premiere of the second and third seasons and their free-to-play release, it now seems that there are changes on the way that they have not pleased their followers. This is confirmed:
- Disney Speedstorm Premium Season Pass Will Be Available only through direct purchase, without the option to redeem it with in-game currency inspired by Mario Kart.
- The premium season pass will cost $9.99 / $9.99, while a $19.99 / $19.99 premium package will be available to skip the first 15 tiers of the pass.
- Players who bought the Founder’s Pack In early access you will still be able to use your Gold Pass credits to unlock premium content.
- The seasons will be divided into 2 parts of approximately 1 month, each with between 4 and 5 chapters of the season’s journey.
- Each part will have a free Golden Pass trackwhich means there are 100 levels of rewards you can earn for free.
- Levels will require 1000 XP to complete, a 50% reduction, which will speed up rewards.
- Golden Passes can no longer be purchased with Tokens, only as a direct purchase in this Mario Kart-style title.
- Se introduce a new tournament mode for a player that offers four free attempts per day, then requires a payment of $7.99 / $7.99 for unlimited entries via the ‘Vault Pass’.
Many players have expressed their discontent on social media, calling the changes “terrible” after having saved Tokens for future Gold Pass purchases. We will have to be attentive in case Gameloft changes its strategy in the future.
