Games industry journalist Christopher Dring said in a recent podcast that he spoke to a number of developers about the Switch’s successor and they said they don’t expect one this financial year. If this information is correct, it means that gamers should not expect it to follow the same release schedule as the original Switch, which launched in March 2017. He said that people he spoke to are hoping that it will be available in April or May, although Nintendo hasn’t announced anything definitive.
