Mark your calendars and get your men ready because Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will make history on Nintendo Switch and other platforms on February 11, 2025.
Unveiled earlier this year during the Summer Game Fest, Civilization VII became one of the highlights of the ongoing Gamescom 2024 event as it announced a final release date and showcased a gameplay reveal trailer – along with more details on what it has to offer.
It is worth mentioning the new, first addition in the Civilization VII series – the ability to mix and match leaders and civilizations to rewrite history. Leaders are no longer tied to their nations; civilizations can now be led by those from foreign countries.
Firaxis and 2K Games also recently announced the identity of the new narrator – the one and only Gwendoline Christie of Game of Thrones fame.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII will be available for purchase in Standard, Deluxe, and Founders Editions. The Nintendo Switch eShop has the Standard at $59.99, the Deluxe at $89.99, and the Founders Edition at $119.99.
Pre-orders for the Standard Edition come with the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack, which is already included in the Deluxe and Founders Editions.
