Are you looking forward to this title? We already know which game includes new features regarding the previous version, and then the press after testing it confirmed some more. We are talking about the remake of Paper Mario: The Millennial Door for Nintendo Switch. But now we have details about the first installment of the franchise.
In a 2000 interview, it was revealed that in Paper Mario there is an unused “crazed” state for Mario, in which he becomes more powerful but loses the player’s control and turns red. Initially, this status caused Mario to turn green, but it appears to have been discarded because he was considered “too dangerous” if he transformed into Luigi.
You can see what it might have looked like below:
Paper Mario contains an unused “berserk” state for Mario where he becomes stronger at the cost of not being controlled by the player while turning red. According to a 2000 interview, this originally turned Mario green instead, as “it could be very dangerous if he became Luigi”. pic.twitter.com/M7ulsm90tv
