Update: Since this story broke at the weekend, people have been thinking that the reason Cooking Mom: Cookstar has been withdrawn from the SHOP because then cryptocurrency mining using the power is being analyzed by owners who change their plans. When the game was first revealed, developers mentioned blockchain technology – a fact which has brought about these recent allegations.

Now developers have responded to these claims (thank you, Nintendo Everything), and emphasized that the blockchain tech claims used in the game were "hypocritical":

Njengabathuthukisi we can say with confidence that no cryptocurrency or data collection or blockchain or anything else confusing code. Nintendo Switch is a very secure platform, with no data and privacy issues associated with certain mobile and PC games. This is a release from February of 2019, and we've been thinking about emotions like a lot of releases about blockchain. IBlockchain never disclosed to us developers, and enjoyed hearing at the end of 2019. It doesn't happen anytime soon.

now available reports suggest that the code has been removed before launch and this could be the cause of the game being removed from the sale:

Original story (Sat 4th Apr, 2020 05:30 BST): Cooking Mom looks like a loser. According to a long report from IGN, his new game – Cooking Mom: Cookstar – was released at the US switchch in the Shop last week, but has since been released. This extends to many other regions including the UK and Australia and is said to apply to physical release copies in certain regions.

At the time of writing, if you search for a game on Switch eShop in any of these regions, no results are available. We had a look across multiple eShop and found similar results. If you try to find the game go ahead Nintendo's website, only the oldest creations in the series are visible.

On the front of the body, the game is written on GameStop, but not currently available for purchase. Over in Europe, many retailers like GAME they take pre-orders and the release dates for the title are all in place. At the time, in Australia, people appear access to physical copies of the game, and available for purchase at Eb Games.

It is all chaos and has led fans – like the one above – to access Nintendo's Native American account to find out what's going on. IGN has predicted that there will be news for the publisher, developer and program about the game, and that there may never be an official release. You're crazy, aren't you? It doesn't help that it's a game of Twitter account has been inactive since March 27.
