Magical Delicacy, an indie cooking platformer, will ship to Nintendo Switch on August 15th. Released this week on other platforms, Magideli, as it’s also known, is a concoction of magic, meals and metroidvania that follows Flora, a young witch who settles in a port city in an attempt to discover herself.
Readers can see some features of the game listed below, obtained from the official website of Magideli:
“Use dozens of ingredients to create magical dishes. Different attributes require you to think about the selection of ingredients to meet customer requirements. Process ingredients into new variants. Follow recipes carefully or invent your own creations and manage multiple tasks while the dish takes little time to cook. Then sell or deliver your drinks, meals, teas and pastries to friends and customers. Whether it’s local cuisine or recipes from Flora’s hometown, everything to satisfy the palates of different people, from the shrill Gaballo to the feline Tilin.”
“Start with the basic equipment and get new kitchen tools. Unlock multiple rooms to arrange and customize your tools to your liking and increase efficiency while cooking. Put your unused creations up for sale, sort your ingredients in the pantry, and grow some plants in the backyard. A place you could call your own if it weren’t for this unwanted roommate and lingering capitalist fear.”
“Visit a beautiful port city, a densely packed space with people to meet, history to discover and many opportunities to improve your business. Meet merchants from whom you can buy your ingredients or collect them directly in the nooks and crannies of the city. Meet mysterious travelers, shop owners, forgotten legends and masters of their trades, some of whom may only appear during the day or night. Discover the long-forgotten secrets of the island and its mystical creatures.”
“Move around the city during deliveries, climb bell towers and old ramparts or dig in lost caves. Grow as a witch and gain upgrades to your movement abilities to discover new routes and hard-to-reach places or open shortcuts that lead back to your shop. Inspired by the Metroidvania genre and condensed into an enjoyable cooking game.”
