Could the Hylian Shield be given more importance in Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2?
In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild from the start importance is given to the fact of recovering the Master Sword which, just as it happens in other titles, is the most relevant weapon.
On the other hand, the Escudo Hyliano, another of Link’s most mythical weapons, is also present in Zelda: Breath of the Wild, it is much more hidden and does not have as much prominence. It should be noted that, despite the fact that it is the shield with the greatest stamina, it is not possible to regenerate it after being destroyed, unlike with the Master Sword
In the video included with the Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 delay we were shown what appears to be the deteriorated Master Sword, smaller in size and different in shape from what it normally looks like. For this reason, we could ask ourselves if other well-known weapons will be given importance, among which the Hylian Shield could be included.
But until more information about the title is shared, we can only wait. Nonetheless, It will be interesting to see what the role of the Hylian Shield will be in this long-awaited sequel..
