March 20, 2020 sets the deadline for a crackdown on the gaming industry, for both Crossing the Animals: New Horizons and DO ETERNAL launching on the same day (though DoOM will sadly drop in Change until later). The two subjects couldn't be more different, but we couldn't be happier with both of them in equal measure.
As it turns out, that unique desire to play both of these very different games is not lost on DoOM Eternal's creative director, Hugo Martin. You were actually asked how he felt as the game was presented alongside Animal Crossing in an interview Gamespot, and said he was "excited" to play it:
"I think it's great and it speaks to the amazing diversity we see in today's games. I'm really proud of the roots of the other games and the other studios. Animal Crossing. "
While the switch for DOOM Eternal will be released after the other models are out in March, id Software has mentioned that "there will be no major delays". At least the delay removes the difficulty of which game we will be dropping into our Switch for the first time on March 20th!
