Animal Crossing: New Horizons It's been a huge success since it went on sale March 20 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch. In this title we will be able to live a new life on our island to our liking, being able to carry out a multitude of activities and meet the most diverse characters.
More and more people are enjoying this title, but like any video game, it will not satisfy everyone's tastes, as evidenced in a recent opinion piece written by Jack Crosbie on Business Insider. These are the "pearls" he has written:
- The article, titled «It's time to admit that Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a silly and boring game for kids"He claims that Nintendo's best seller is"frustrating, tedious and immensely boring"While throwing rocks at the user interface and multiplayer modes of the game.
- Crosby He goes on to say that this is not a personal attack on the world of Animal Crossing, and that he knows and respects many people.who loves this stupid game for childrenBut you can't overlook the capitalist mechanics that are the backbone of the New Horizons main game loop:
In Stardew Valley, you can at least choose whether to side with the monolithic megacorporation that threatens to overwhelm the diverse and prosperous small town you live in. In Animal Crossing, you start the game as a cog in the machine, and there is no way to escape.
However, Crosbie seems to admit in Twitter that it was all written just to make the fans go crazy and he would earn his pay:
I'm dead serious if you have $ 200-300 left in your freelance budget and you want a post that will probably get at least 10k hateviews if we put the right SEO hed on it i will do this for you in less than 800 words. bonus points if your billing department pays in <30 days ha ha ha https://t.co/SDbXlQXuEE

I'm ready to say it: Animal Crossing sucks. A bad and lifeless game that is only fun if you spend a LOT of time with it or if you play with friends, which is awkward and inconvenient, like most other aspects of the game. Who will pay me for writing this post? I will do it for little money.
Obviously the criticism from fans of the game did not wait and you can see them on Twitter. What do you think?
