As part of Devolver Digital presentation today Cult of the Lamb announced their next free update ‘An unholy alliance‘ will add local co-op and ‘Goat’ as a new playable character.

A new co-op feature will allow you to experience whole campaign in co-op mode and releases for Switch and other platforms on August 12, 2024. Here’s something about it, courtesy of PR:

“Experience the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign in local co-op, with one player taking on the role of the Lamb and the other taking on the role of the Goat. Enjoy new 2-player twists on existing mini-games like fishing and knuckles, and choose between broken weapons, tarot cards, curses and relics as you embark on cooperative crusades.

Lambs and Goats can switch weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back-to-back, or deal a critical hit if their attacks are aligned. Solo players also get a bunch of new powers and abilities to play with.

In addition to adding co-op gameplay, the Unholy Alliance expansion also adds new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and other secrets to uncover!”
