Massive Monster, Devolver Digital and Laced Records have joined a stellar cast of músicos del heavy metal para lanzar Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholya six-track album that reinterprets the award-winning soundtrack of the indie game Cult of the Lamb. The long-awaited album will be available from October 28, 2024 and promises to deliver a sacrilegious mix of powerful sounds and atmospheric darkness.
An unholy fusion of metal and video games
The album has been written, arranged and producido por Sam George, de Pick Up Goliath, en Mammoth Sound Studiofeaturing the participation of metal legends such as Howard Jones (Light the Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage) and Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium). Featured guitarists include Scott LePage and Clay Gober (Polyphia), Javier Reyes (Animals as Leaders), and Sean Long (While She Sleeps). The drums are provided by Mike Malyan (ex-Monuments).
The lead single, titled “CULT” already has an animated video clip by the Half Giant studio, which combines previously unreleased scenes from Cult of the Lamb with iconic moments of the Lamb’s rise to divinity. The video is now available on streaming platforms and for download.
Vinyl release and exclusive pre-sale
For retro fans, Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy will have an exclusive vinyl edition available in the official Devolver Digital store. Additionally, two t-shirt designs have been released featuring illustrations of Godmachine and the logo created by Nekromorph, complementing the album’s artwork by Carles Dalmau of Massive Monster. Pre-sales are now live, ensuring that fans of the game and metal can get their hands on these collectibles before the official release.
