Fabraz confirmed last June Demon Turf for Nintendo Switch. At that time it was said that the title would premiere on the hybrid console between 2020 and 2021, although it still had no fixed release date.
Well, we get news about it and that is, through a press release, Playtonic Friends has announced that Demon Turf, Fabraz’s latest game, will be released this summer in Europe and North America..
We leave you his premise
Taking on the role of Beebz, a barely 1,000-year-old demon, players must claim the many “territories” of the demon world, defeat the demon king, and claim the throne for themselves. Demon Turf brings a truly fresh take on the platformer genre with its hybrid 2D / 3D art style, a world filled with humor and flair, a punk attitude, and an incredible focus on replayability and ever-evolving challenge.
Characteristics:
- Self-Placed Checkpoints – Skip these for a perfect game, or place one in preparation for a challenging section. You can even teleport between these checkpoints if you’ve missed a collectible along the way.
- Return Levels – A new form of progression, take a round of the bell and explore levels already beaten to discover your liberated state, with tons of mechanical and environmental changes to discover
- Physics-Based Combat – How do you defeat hordes of demons when none of your attacks are truly lethal? A special physics-based combat system that increases chaos and fun. Push, pull and spin your enemies so they get out of your way and fall off cliffs or spikes.
- A mouth-watering amount of secondary content: 50 specific locations / characters to line the walls of an empty gallery. Challenge 25 waves of enemies in the arena. Tackle 10 Demon Soccer Golf courses that put a strange twist on pushing the ball puzzles. Collect 8 cartridges to unlock remixed levels from glorious 3D platformers of the past.
At the moment we still do not know the specific launch date or price, but we will stay tuned to inform you of any news that may arise in this regard.
