Development of Klonoa’s Phantasy Reverie series began on Switch

Klonoa’s Phantasy Reverie Series has been available on various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, for over half a year now. However, Klonoa Phantasy Reverie series producer Ryo Ishida has spent the year so far talking about the game in various interviews.

For example, Ishida was recently interviewed in the latest issue of Lost In Cult. In it, Ishida revealed that development of the game began on the Nintendo Switch. Ishida also said that “around the time we finished the Switch version, we were given the opportunity to put it on Nintendo Direct and, consequently, [reveal the existence of the collection] to a world audience”.

Ishida said they are grateful for the opportunity to do so. That’s because Nintendo Directs, according to Ishida, “are a great medium for spreading information and awareness among game fans, because game announcements are active there [anticipated]”.
