Metro Redux arrived at the Nintendo switchch and the team at Digital Foundry gave the first shooter the opportunity to check to see how the switchch port conflicts with other versions. By all accounts a good port does not hit 1080p when set up. Metro Redux was launched on February 28th and here is a summary from a Reddit user, who:
-
The downgrade seems to have 720p, but uses a temporary correction, which seeks to achieve clean edges while minimizing artefacts
-
The physical resolution looks and looks like 720p too, looks very sharp and has dropped a few times, with the lowest count being 480p
-
The comparisons are very different from PS4 releases, the audio is less plausible (5.1 features surround sound) and the final installation is as big as 30FPS games can go
-
Performance is excellent, 30 FPS in both directions indeed 2 missed frames
-
The only real problems are fake support, poorly used, and load times, which are obviously longer than the PS4, the loading on the platform takes a while, but the death load is much faster
