The latest game that the tech-focused team at Digital Foundry is examining is the recently released Mario vs Donkey Kong game for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. They’re happy to report that the puzzle platformer is 1080p on the dock and 720p handheld and runs at a flawless 60fps. Mario vs Donkey Kong also uses AMD’s FidelityFX, although Digital Foundry believes it only uses Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) mode instead of FSR 1 upscaling. They conclude by saying that “Mario vs. Donkey Kong is an undeniably successful remake that manages to capture the magic of the original and bring it into the modern age.”
