ZA/UM Studio has announced a new mod for the critically acclaimed video game Disco Elysium, and it won’t take long for Nintendo Switch owners to try it out. The new mode is called Collage Mode which allows players to have the ability to create and place a scene in and around Martinaise. They’ll have full access to characters, environments, effects and custom dialogue to create the screenshots they’ve always wanted and invent brand new dramas from unforgiving punches to fruity but forbidden kisses.
“Collage Mode is an amazing tool that puts the characters, environments and visual effects from Disco Elysium in the hands of all players to create original art. It also lets you inspect our brush strokes up close and lets you pose and rotate character models as if they were toys in the palm of your hand. You can really see up close how the artists have come together to create the game’s signature look, which extends to the brand new art we’ve created specifically for this mode.”
Kaspar Tamsalu, artistic director of ZA/UM Studio
“This latest update offers a whole new way to explore the world of Disco Elysium as it’s simultaneously a dollhouse, a blank canvas and a storytelling machine. We made this for our immensely talented fans because we’ve spent years admiring everything they create, from gorgeous paintings to memorable short stories and amazing cosplay — now we hope there’s a lot more to come! We just ask that they be gentler on Kim Kitsuragi, he can only take so much love.”
Chris Priestman, head of collage mode.
