Exit the Gungeon has recently landed in Nintendo Switch after his time at Apple Arcade, and that's why since Dodge Roll have taken advantage of to talk about the title. On this occasion, we leave you with David Crooks' statements, a member of the study, who this time explains to us where the idea for the title comes from:

Enter the Gungeon was born out of a series of silly ideas and jokes (in fact, the title came to us even before the concept of the game), and during the development of the title our team was always pondering the idea of ​​how our heroes would abandon the Gungeon once they had found what they were looking for.

We loved the thought that after everything we went through in the original game, the exit route was as simple as an elevator. After meeting with Singlecore Games (our partners in the development of Exit the Gungeon) we got to gather some of the ideas they had for another title and we found a way to continue with this saga, completing the escape trip of our character and still having thus a variant with the gameplay of the original that made it feel cool even by itself.
