The surprise remaster of Donkey Kong Country Returns for Nintendo Switch has gone up for pre-order on Nintendo eShop and is priced at $59.99. It’ll be a while before we get our hands on it as it’s only scheduled for release on January 16th, 2025. Either way, it’ll be a full-price HD remaster for the Switch. Here’s what you can expect:

Give a Joy-Con™ controller to a friend and take on the Tiki Tak tribe as DK and Diddy in a two-player local game. Fish enemies with Diddy’s Peanut Popgun and hover using his Barrel Jet, and subdue bad guys with DK’s Ground Pound—or just Barrel Roll right through them. Work together to recover those bananas in the pile!
