It seems that DOOM and DOOM II They have received new updates on Nintendo Switch. Players can now download the version 1.0.5.

Audio updates
- Audio has been revised and positional audio should now work in all cases.
- Sound distance reduction now uses precisely the same volume ranges as the original version.

Plugin specific updates
- Attachment chainsaw firing has been corrected to its original optimum hum.

Changes
- Loading and Quick Save can now be linked from Customizing Controls and will work without pausing the game.
- Automap colors have been changed. You will now clearly mark doors and locked doors using red, yellow, blue, or white lines, making it faster to find unexplored parts of the map.
- The automap is displayed with pixel duplication to increase visibility and troubleshoot lines that disappear.
- Deaths, items, and secrets are now displayed in the automap during games.
Performance optimization
- Fast loading now loads faster by skipping screen-clear animation when loading a game.
- Small rendering optimizations.
