Get ready to rip until it’s done. Announced during Quakecon 2024, DOOM and DOOM II are rekindled through an enhanced duo pack called DOOM + DOOM II that is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for $9.99.

Owners get:

  • FAILURE
  • FAILURE II
  • TNT: Wickedness
  • The Plutonium Experiment
  • Master levels for DOOM II
  • There is no rest for the living
  • Sigil
  • Legacy of Rust (a new episode created in collaboration with id Software, Nightdive Studios and MachineGames)
  • New Deathmatch card pack containing 25 cards

New improvements:

  • Online, cross-platform deathmatch and co-op for up to 16 players
  • In-game mod browser
  • Choose from the original DOOM and DOOM II midi soundtracks or Andrew Hulshult’s modern IDKFA versions (including brand new DOOM II recordings)
  • Now on the KEX engine
  • BOOM’s source compatibility allows hundreds of mods created by the community over the past 25 years to be published in-game
  • Accessibility options like modern font to improve readability, high contrast mode, text-to-speech, speech-to-text multiplayer chat, and more
  • Translated into 8 new languages: Mexican Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese

Users who own DOOM or DOOM II will reportedly be able to grab the new content and enhancements via a free download.
