Organizers of the Nintendo Life and EGX event, Gamer Network and RedPOP, today announced that EGX: Rezzed 2020 has been officially canceled.
The event will be held at Tobacco Dock, London from 2 to 4 July, but due to ongoing concerns about the current coronavirus epidemic still prevalent in the UK, this sad show cannot continue. Here's a message from Gamer Network and ReedPOP:
The effects, visible and imagined, of Coronavirus are evident in every aspect of our lives here in the UK and around the world, with many of us viewers and creators facing travel restrictions and solitary confinement measures. After extensive discussions with all public health stakeholders, local and national authorities, as well as our renewed partners, we have decided not to attend this year's event.
Thanks to everyone who is ready to deliver on what they promised to be a fantastic event last year, we showcase the best of indie games in the amazing community of Rezzed.
Currently, the EGX road racing event is currently scheduled to take place in September, which runs from the 17th to the 20th. Anyone who bought a ticket to EGX Rezzed automatically will be renewed for tickets for this big event this September, but also have the right to a full refund if they wish. This can be arranged by sending an email to [email protected] for your order number.
