The UK's largest sports expo, EGX, is set to return to London this September.
Event organizers Gamer Network and ReedPOP have revealed that the show will also be held at ExCeL London, scheduled to take place from September 17 – 20. As you may know, ExCeL London is currently leading the way in the fight against the current coronavirus epidemic, becoming the first NHS Nightingale hospital in the country.
The media statement reflecting this announcement reads:
We work closely with ExCeL to ensure the health and safety of our fans, guests and partners at EGX, to provide a safe and enjoyable place to meet, find and celebrate great games, and like all of you, we follow local trends closely. What matters to us continues to be the health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees, industry partners and staff and, therefore, we will always be guided by the professional advice of public health authorities.
Natural days are changing naturally as the current state of the world evolves, but fans of the event can be assured that all the leadings put forward by the UK government are closely followed. David Lilley, Head of Events at ReedPOP, added the following:
"We are doing our best at this unprecedented time, looking to the future while working diligently, constantly looking at the situation and following the lead of the UK government. This is clearly a situation that will continue to emerge and while we may not have all the answers right now, we will do everything possible to keep everyone experienced and updated when we were done. In the meantime we would like to take that opportunity to thank all our viewers and partners who continue to support EGX so much in these challenging times. "
