Manga and anime series Hunter x Hunter is getting a new fighting game developed by Eighting and published by Bushiroad Games. It has an official name Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact.
Platforms and release date have not yet been revealed. It’s also unclear what kind of fighting game it will be, though the teaser trailer above gives off arena combat vibes. In it you can see Gon, Neter and Leori getting ready for battle.
If you’re not familiar with this shonen, it’s worth checking out. Here’s the summary (via Crunchyroll):
“Gon, a boy who lives on an island of whales, dreams of becoming a hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still small.”
Eighting has worked on martial arts series such as DNF Duel, the Naruto series, and Marvel vs. Capcom games. He recently helped with Pikmin 4 too! The Hunter x Hunter games they haven’t gotten a chance in the west yet, so we’ll let you know if we hear any relevant updates.
