By now, you’re more than likely aware of the Nintendo Switch Sports update that added a new sport, basketball, to the game yesterday. The update, which was officially revealed in Nintendo’s June 2024 Direct, surprised quite a few people as the game hasn’t received a new update in quite some time.
Well, it’s been reported that Nintendo isn’t the only one involved in the update. Eighting confirmed on their official site that they were also working on an update. Eighting is the same team that ported Pikmin 3 Deluxe to Switch and added new content. They also co-developed Pikmin 4 with Nintendo.
