We’re just days away from the release of the Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons ‘Sacred Reunion’ DLC on April 4which is set to add new online co-ops, game modes, characters and arenas to the 2023 pixel art beat ’em up.
Ahead of the expansion’s release, developer Secret Base and publisher Maximum Games have revealed some brand new screenshots showing some of the new fighters and locations in action — including a closer look at two recently revealed DLC fighters: Sonny Lee and Chin Sei Mei.
Lee first appeared as a P3 option in the arcade version Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone, while Chin Sei Mei made her series debut in the NES port of Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones. In the new images below, you can see the former’s bruised face and yellow vest, as well as the latter’s Iron Claw weapon along with another look at the third DLC fighter, Ranzou.
You’ll be able to try out all three of these new fighters in the DLC’s additional Survival Mode, or use them to team up with a friend in online co-op.
