Fairy farm

Earlier this week, the relatively new farming simulator Fae Farm received a free DLC update Coasts of Croatia – taking players to Archl-pal-igo Park, where they can learn the language of the many creatures that roam the park.

Along with this, there are a bunch of updates to the game adding new dialogs, increasing home storage and more. We don’t have a full list of patch notes, detailing what this latest update has added to the game. Here’s the summary:

Fairy Farm Patch Notes 2.0.0 (December 2023)

COASTS OF CROATIA

The first premium content update for Fae Farm, “Coasts of Croakia” is now available!

For Switch players and those with the Deluxe Edition on PC, this content will be automatically enabled. For owners of the Standard Edition on PC, you can view more details and purchase this content from the new “Additional Content” option in the main menu or directly through your chosen store.

You can access the Coasts of Croakia content by going to Chapter 3 and looking in your mailbox for a letter from Lem.

PLAYING

  • The tool selection has been updated and can now be tabbed as before or instead opened in a wheel for easier selection.

    – A pop-up window with a short explanation will appear when you leave the house for the first time after the update.

    – This new wheel is accessed by holding either R or L on the switch, or RB or LB on the PC controller, and is assigned Q by default on the keyboard (and can be reset).

  • Your active tool will now remain when entering a new dungeon floor.
  • The time required to craft items on the garden bench has been reduced by two-thirds.
  • Using the Vortex spell to harvest items will now honor the Lucky Roll and Bounteous Fertilizer buffs.
  • Fixed a case where the wand could be unequipped if you swung it to attack while standing on or near the door switch in the Saltwater Mines.
  • Fixed a stuck condition that could occur if you fell off the map and were simultaneously overcome by the miasma in the Floating Ruins.
  • Fixed respawning door orbs not being usable in Floating Ruins.

PROGRESS AND QUESTS

  • The experience gained from fishing has been significantly increased in all segments.
  • The final seed unlock has been moved from Farming level 20 to level 19.
  • Fertilizers and seeds unlocked based on farming level are now displayed on the progress screen.
  • The watering can now instantly fills after upgrading, for magical convenience.
  • Fixed a case where you could be temporarily blocked on one particular Scorched Caverns floor plan if you didn’t have an Orichalcum Shovel.
  • Improved and clarified text in many Job Quests to make the objectives clearer.
  • Fixed love and friendship quests asking you to “show” items when it meant “give”.
  • Fixed repeated objective in Finding the Wisp Mother main quest.
  • Fixed a bug where using the skip guide option would not add basic tools to your almanac.

WORLD AND CHARACTERS

  • A new shrine has been added to Stay-A-While Bay. It can be unlocked using the newly added Emerald Seal.
  • All vendor NPCs now have new and unique dialogue, instead of using the same common set of lines.

  • Faux wood floors can now be crafted at the Lumber Station.
  • Now you can walk under the pergola.

  • The Sporewood Curly Q fence is now correctly made from Sporewood rather than Flutterwood.
  • Fixed some items showing incorrect icons in the Almanac until they were revealed.
  • Fixed dropped Animal Charms showing as the wrong item.
  • Fixed a number of items appearing under the wrong section of the end of day summary screen.

ANIMAL CARE

  • Animal care interactions have been revised to be more intuitive:

    – With a controller, the closest animal in the direction you are facing will be focused to interact with.

    – Use the mouse to focus on an animal for interaction by hovering the cursor over a specific animal.

    – If multiple animals are very close, those with outstanding daily interaction are prioritized for focus.

    – Added visual indicator to show the animal you are focused on.

  • A number of other improvements and fixes have been made to avoid input conflicts between multiple animals or between animals and cells on your farm network.
