We bring an interesting set of details related to one of the most outstanding games in the Nintendo Switch catalog. We are talking in this case about Fire Emblem Engage.
Specifically, we have the details coming from the official Fire Emblem Twitter account and they focus on preparing for battle and on Corrin. We leave them below:
During the battle preparation phase, you can change the position of allies on the battlefield. You can also check information about the terrain, enemy abilities, and more. If you want to get the upper hand, be sure to check out the entire map before jumping into battle!
Additionally, the “Visit” command returns in Fire Emblem Engage. During the battle, you will come across houses: if you go and warn the inhabitants of the impending danger, they will reward you with gold and other items. To do so, move an ally to the bright space in front of the house and select the “Visit” command. Be careful: if an enemy unit gets to the house first, they will destroy it!
Terrain can have multiple effects. For example, the bushes make it difficult for enemy attacks to reach you. However, moving through them requires more Movement than normal terrain.
The video below includes part of a scene where Corrin is seen talking to Alear. It seems that the two of them have quite a similar vibe…
Corrin (voiced by Satomi Satou in Japanese) possesses an unbreakable heart and carries the blood of the first dragons.
Using Corrin’s power, you can control both enemy actions and terrain effects to your advantage. It’s a pretty reliable emblem that can use buffs and debuffs effectively to gain the upper hand.
His weapon and abilities are as follows:
- Synchronization Skill: Dragon Vein. With this, you can add various special effects to the terrain. For example, a flying unit will be able to add the Aroma (Western name TBC) effect, which is a healing effect. The effect you gain depends on the fighting style of the unit wearing Corrin’s emblem ring. Dragon units can select any effect!
- Engage weapon: Double katana. This weapon “inverts” the usual Weapon Triangle system. For example, a Sword has an advantage against Spear, but as a result, is weak against Axes.
- Engage Skill: Curse. Prevents the enemy within 1 space of your Unit from moving when you are on the offensive. Very useful when enemies are grouped in one place!
- Engage Attack: Torrential Roar. Attacks enemies within 3 spaces in front of your Unit and gives terrain the Puddle effect, which reduces evasion. If all the enemies are lined up, use this powerful attack to not only hit them all at once, but also make it harder for them to counterattack!

Fire Emblem Engage
- The new installment in the Fire Emblem series takes place in Elyos, a continent made up of four nations that surround a Sacred Land. A thousand years ago a bloody war broke out between Elyos and the Fallen Dragon.
- During the conflict, the inhabitants of Elyos summoned heroes from other worlds to help them: the so-called Crests. Warriors from different nations fought together alongside them and eventually succeeded in banishing the Fallen Dragon. However, certain signs portend the imminent return of this fearsome enemy…
- In this adventure you will play Alear, a Divine Dragon who wakes up a thousand years after the war without any memory. Prepare for the challenge and fight alongside your allies in combat that combines role-playing and strategy to thwart the return of the Fallen Dragon.
- Command yourselves on the battlefield by summoning Emblems, including Marth, Celica, and other heroes from previous Fire Emblem installments, who dwell within Emblem rings. By donning these rings, Alear and his allies can borrow the power of these Emblems, thus improving their attributes and accessing much more powerful abilities. Heroes can also use powerful magic to “fuse” with the Emblems, combining their powers and unlocking unique attacks to lay waste to the enemy.
A great adventure awaits you! Meet different allies and enemies in each nation, discover the Crests that slumber in each ring, and bond with them in this fight to save the world.
