Brandon McInnis, who is the main voice actor for Fire Emblem Engage, posted a series of naturally frustrated tweets at North American video game retailer GameStop. The reason for the tweets is that Mr. McInnis pre-ordered the special Divine edition Fire Emblem Engage at a popular retailer, and the order ended up not being fulfilled by the retailer. The reason his Divine Edition pre-order was not filled was because the corporate side of GameStop was pushing Divine Edition pre-orders without knowing their guaranteed stock level. He ended up buying the digital edition on the Nintendo Switch eShop and paying an unspecified amount for Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition from an eBay seller. It seems incredibly likely that a large number of people were affected by GameStop’s process of offering products without first checking with the retailer how many copies they would actually receive.
