Fortnite patch 30.10 ends pacts between enemies

ends, enemies, Fortnite, pacts, patch

Dealing with enemies to kill the rest of the players quickly became a problem in Fortnite, especially after the boost that vehicles received in Season 3 of Chapter 5.

Fortnite is the most important Battle Royale of the moment, so it continues to be updated with new content and collaborations. Some of the new features, such as the return of the Boogie Bombs, dominate the meta, although others are more aware of the skins and concerts.

But there is a very annoying strategy for many players that we did not expect to see corrected so soon. And Epic Games has decided to take action on the matter without mentioning it in the patch notes, so we will tell you about it here.

No more tricks with enemies to use turrets

While making impromptu deals with enemies in Fortnite became a decent strategy for weeks, it also brought many unfair situations in Battle Royale.

The problem is that a player could get into the vehicle driven by an enemy and use the turret to eliminate other rivals. This way the turret mechanics could be abused in single player modes or in complicated situations. But the most recent update seems to end this practically permanently.

A player on Reddit confirmed that Fortnite no longer allows you to negotiate with opponents to abuse turrets. Players can hop into opposing vehicles, but the turret will display a “disabled when an opponent is driving” message. You can still drive together, but neither player will be able to use the turret, so your options will be more limited.

So now there is less incentive to board a rival vehicle, unless it is to confuse it a little or take advantage of the trip. But not all players liked this change. Some believe that in this way the driver can be sabotaged, preventing him from using his own turret. In that sense, a more definitive solution would be to block the doors for other players. But this would be eliminating a fairly old mechanic from the game.

What do you think? Is this solution enough, and was negotiating with enemies really a problem in Fortnite?
