Let's make it clear, Postman 3: The Wild Hunt is not only my game of the last decade, but also one of the best games I have ever played in my life – say and good. I came across this article about a year or so after its first release in 2015. At the time, the game had received "over 200 awards" (according to boxing art), and word had spread widely and internationally about it being that's fine Next generation video game. In fact, my Xbox One copy put a quote in front of something out of & # 39; I & # 39; t end up in & # 39; N & # 39; i say "how does it describe the next genre" and while i don't always agree the boys are famous for complaining about "too much water" on Pokémon a game, I couldn't agree more on this particular case.

So, after reading so many good things about it online and from a close friend of mine who had just completed this fantasy adventure on PC a few months before, I discovered The Witcher 3 and prepared myself for a "great open-world" like I've never. Although I have played games in the digital series GOG.com, I didn't play much of this one. I was also convinced by this same friend that knowledge of existing plays or original Polish novels is a writer Andrzej Sapkowski It wasn't necessary, so I jumped into CD Projekt Red & # 39; s third Witcher which was putting out a cold – like most other bandwagoners at the time.

Despite the glorious review and the feeling of excitement about experiencing something new beyond the familiar world of Hyrule, I eventually lost interest in the game very quickly. It was a combination of things, from memory. The menacing and overly detailed menus, Geralt's lazy movements – including his horse Roach who would stand completely out of sight in the slightest trace – and this story didn't appear as special at first.

I ended up saving the game, and at the same time I promised myself that I would come back one day to find that sad world but everyone in the world was going well. I think it would take a month before I download it and start a new save file. Once again, I really tried to love it and I never got lucky. I made more progress in this regard, but I was still moving in the first city before I dropped it again. Fast forward a couple of months and I decided to give it one last chance. That's when all that clicked and I never looked back.

Throughout the year, for the most part of my time I spent playing The Witcher 3 and searching the world like Geralt from Rivia. When I wasn't playing it, I was thinking about it, and when I played it I was immersed in this big, full-minded space for hours on end. I invested heavily in the characters over time and made it a side note that I didn't want Geralt & # 39; s adventure to end.

This was indeed a "great open world adventure" that defined the gambling of the next generation. At the time, I had never seen such a large open world of a game like it and to this day, there are a few others I have that can compete with the quality of their data (keeping in mind, The History of Zelda: Breathing in Wildlife was not available yet. Obviously, the characters have played a huge role in the adventure as well. Geralt, Yen, Triss, Ciri and Dandelion all had different personalities and the more you know them, the more you grow to each. Branching methods have been added to this, and the battle has been by far the best sword play I've ever encountered in a video game, despite the controls that were awkward at first.

I think what's important to note here is especially the fact I've endured it and now I think Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt not only has been one of the best releases of the past 10 years, but one of the greatest games ever. I think if you've played the title from start to finish, you'll understand why it's special, but for anyone reading this who hasn't – it's a game that has done a good job of converting a series of controversial publications represented outside their home country in Poland. Heck, there's also the Hollywood Netflix series now starring Henry Cavill, and whether the viewer wants to admit it or not – it's definitely given the green light thanks to the amazing worldwide success of the third game.

Of course, since then, the game has reached the switch, allowing fans to play this fun game wherever they like. I have to admit, I'm actually surprised that the world is as dense and detailed as this one can carry in your bag, but I am thrilled that The Witcher 3 is now received by so many viewers – viewers I may never have played in other games before. Of course, the Switch version isn't quite as good as the Xbox One or PS4 offerings, but the bottom line is that the core of the game stays intact.

All I'm going to say right now is that if you've never played Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, make it the best in the game right now and most of all – look to the end. It may not catch your attention at first, but Geralt's third and final chapter will eventually be one of your most memorable gaming events of all time if you keep it to the end (DLC is also wonderful, it's worth noting). There's probably a life lesson here too; maybe something about seeing things through to the end, because if you don't want to, you might miss something special. Me approx you did it.
