Genshin Impact fans waiting for the game to arrive on Switch expressed their feelings and thoughts online today after the game was announced for more platform.

This open world action RPG adventure is now on its way to Xbox this Novemberand yet there’s still no update on Nintendo’s version, which was originally confirmed for 2020 – with the announcement at the time saying it was “coming soon” to the hybrid platform.

The latest revelation has sparked a lot of discussion on social media, subreddits and elsewhere online – with some fans even speculating that a “successor” to the Switch could be arriving instead, given how late in the current system’s lifecycle it is.

Genshin Impact’s Switch announcement has been well documented, with several other key updates along the way – including rumors in 2021 that there was a “power shortage” issue with the Switch hardware. Then in 2022, a miHoYo PR representative gave an update, claiming that a Nintendo version was still in development.

It was also revealed earlier this year the game’s official site for the Switch version has been removed from the Genshin Hoyoverse website – leading to new speculation about a possible “successor” Switch release. Nintendo has already confirmed that an announcement for this new system will be made “this fiscal year”.
