Here we get details about a new initiative for the world of video games. Given the impossibility of holding physical events, it seems that digital organizations are gaining strength.
The information comes from Geoff Keighley, responsible for the Game Awards, who has announced the Summer Game Fest. It is "an industry-wide digital video game celebration featuring breaking news, in-game events and free playable content."
"In these challenging and uncertain times, it is more important than ever that video games serve as a common, virtual point of connection between all of us," says Keighley. "SGF is an organizing principle that promises fans all a season of video game news and other surprises from the comfort of home ».
Fans will be able to follow him on Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter, YouTube and more between May and August, although specific dates have not yet been confirmed. Some participating companies have also been shared as you can see in the image above, although Nintendo is not confirmed at the moment.
