Digimon is one of the longest-running franchises in the anime world, and although it has been heavily overshadowed by its small similarities with Pokémon, this anime from the digital world has received a lot of support over the years. In fact, his video game Digimon Survive has been long awaited by users of Nintendo Switch.
But with 10 seasons and no closure planned in the short term, it is normal that those who are interested in giving anime a chance do not know very well where to start. In this article we will show you the different ways in which you can start to see the Digimon anime.
Digimon series and movies
The good news for those who are interested in entering the deep world of Digimon is that the series does not have a complicated timeline. In fact, you will be able to understand it even if you watch it from the first chapter released in 1999 to the most recent season in order of release.
Digimon Adventure It started its first season with 54 chapters, although like other important animations, it has some “filler” chapters. Specifically we are talking about those that go from 9 to 11, 25 and 33. Although there is no doubt that you will also be able to enjoy these few additional chapters.
The second season of Digimon Adventure it arrived in 2000 with another 50 chapters, closing in 2001. Later that year the third season was released under the name Digimon Tamers, adding another 50 chapters. This has basically been the anime publishing process, with interconnected stories through seasons.
It should be noted that in 2020, Toei Animation produced a remake from the original Digimon story so that new audiences can enter this fantasy world. You can start with these animations that correspond to season 9 if you do not want to see the most classic episodes.
In addition, the series has several very interesting movies. Digimon Adventure: The Ultimate Kizuna Evolution is one of the most popular, published in 2020 by the hand of Toei Animation y Yumeta Company. This film is the closure of the initial story of Digimoncontinuing from the first two seasons of the anime and the story of Digimon: The Movie.
