It seems like only yesterday that Hamster was just celebrating its 100th ‘Arcade Archives’ release, but now it actually has 400 titles in its retro revival project.

Hamster Corporation shared the milestone in a short social media post earlier this week, noting that Rainbow Islands is their latest game to arrive on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. This marks the end of the January 2024 release window, which also includes Mighty Guy, Cosmo Gang Puzzle and Super Contra.

“Arcade Archives RAINBOW ISLANDS is now available on PS4 and Nintendo Switch! And the Arcade Archives has reached 400 titles! We would like to thank all the users who supported us, the game creators who collaborated with us!”

Here’s something about Rainbow Islands, developed by Taito and released in 1987. It also comes with a trailer:

“RAINBOW ISLANDS is an action game published by TAITO in 1987. The sequel to BUBBLE BOBBLE in which Bubby and Bobby, after returning to their human form, travel to the RAINBOW ISLANDS using their rainbow magic to save the villagers from the clutches of Boss Shadow. can be used in different ways, like attacking enemies or as a jumping platform. This game includes updated RAINBOW ISLANDS EXTRA, with changed difficulty, etc.”
