It has arrived, the most beautiful time of the year!
Yes, a season’s greeting to all you lovely people. Grab a drink, get comfortable and get ready — it’s time to party! If by ‘fun’ you mean sweating profusely and wishing you hadn’t said ‘yes’ to your fifth mince pie or similar tiring sweet.
2022 was the year, that’s for sure! A 365-day period filled with ups, downs, surprises and inevitabilities — and luckily, a whole bunch of great video games. Whichever console(s) you use, it’s been a good year for gamers, and 2023 is looking pretty great too. We are especially interested in the brand new Zelda, of course, as well as Mario’s second foray into the world of movies. Despite its rocky history with the medium, we’re cautiously optimistic about the handsome title Movie Super Mario Bros
But that’s all that follows. Right now we’re sitting on the carpet staring at the Switch menu bulging with festive potential. The plethora of games backlogged last week means we not only have our own backlog to peruse, but also brand new releases like the highly anticipated Sports Tale to delve into. It’s going to be a great day.
Whatever you’re up to in the coming days, whatever you’re celebrating, all of us here at Nintendo Life wish you and yours all the best for the holidays. Have the happiest Christmas, the happiest Hanukkah, the coolest Kwanzaa, hmmthe funnest of all festivals and generally a great time no matter which celebration you choose.
Oh, and enjoy playing! Are we going to start using that as the new catch-all season’s greeting?
