Today, SEGA revealed that Godzilla and Hatsune Miku will be among the new guest characters arriving next week as paid DLC for Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble! Both will be available individually starting November 26 via the Nintendo eShop. In addition, a significant new patch for the game will also be available for free on November 26 as part of the major 2.00 update, adding tons of new content for players to enjoy at no additional cost.
Godzilla and Hatsune Miku arrive as DLC guest characters
Smash through the competition as Godzilla, the mighty king of the monsters, or have fun as the cheerful virtual singer Hatsune Miku, ready to share her love of music with the world. As noted, both will be available for purchase as playable guest DLC characters on November 26th! Players can destroy other players as Godzilla, with collecting bananas replaced by trains, or go through different stages as MIKU, collecting musical notes instead of bananas.
NIJSNJI costume available for download
For the YouTuber’s virtual fans, the “NIJISANJI UKIUKI CUP Outfit Set” – which includes a NIJISANJI UKIUKI Cup logo T-shirt, a NIJISANJI UKIUKI Cup logo monkey ball and a costume inspired by NIJISANJI’s Saegusa Akina – will be released on November 26 as a free download on the Nintendo eShop!
Super Punchy Brawl added to Battle Mode
Super Punchy Brawl is a new multiplayer game that will be added to Battle Mode as part of the 2.00 update. Here, players can chase down their opponents by knocking them off the map with a big boxing glove! Players can use the plates scattered around the stage to polish their boxing gloves up to two times to make the punches even stronger, increasing the amount of damage dealt. They can also store damage from an opponent’s strike up to twice – the more damage stored, the easier it is to knock down opponents. The player with the most points at the end of the round wins! Furthermore, a new stage has been added to the existing Banana Hunt game.
Exciting new content for Adventure Mode
Adventure Mode received various updates to enhance players’ journey to find the legendary banana in update 2.00, including a fun set of new rules, including:
- Time Attack will now include a new Banana bonus an option where players can collect bananas to reduce their total time.
- The No Miss challenge tests players to see how far they can survive in adventure mode with only one life.
- Super speed makes the player’s balls roll even faster. Don’t fall off the stage!
- Step into your character’s world with Monkey Seewhere players can see the world from their ball!
- The bravest monkeys can show their skills on even more difficult tracks Ultimate EX phases.
AND quick retry a feature has also been added that allows players to instantly restart a stage without pausing the game. Additionally, when playing Adventure Mode with friends, you will no longer need to leave your room when going between worlds.
The latest update will also include a lot of other content, including a character randomization feature; bulk purchase function in the in-game store; the ability to transfer saved data from the demonstration; color options for player names and more.
