No Man’s Sky may be 6 years old, but that doesn’t mean that the game has been forgotten. It was released on the Xbox One in 2018, 2 years after it had been released on PC. The game was eventually released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2020.
That said, a Nintendo Switch version was announced just a few months ago. At the moment, it is slated to launch in mid-2022. However, that time frame is getting very close, and there hasn’t been many updates lately. That changed earlier today, when developer Hello Games confirmed in a press release that “the rest of our small team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches to, among other things, the Nintendo Switch version and some large upcoming updates”.
When No Man’s Sky launches on the Nintendo Switch, it will do so with all 20 major updates that have come out over the years, including the most recent Sentinel and Outlaws updates. As for the current state of the game, a Leviathan update released earlier today.
