Nintendo yesterday confirmed the upcoming squid-shooter Splatoon 3 would be “inkoming” this September on the Switch.
Alongside this, we also got a brand new trailer, showcasing an extended look at Turf War. That’s not all, though. In addition to this, Nintendo has now also shared the official North American game box art. It’s got a similar look to the first two games.
Splatoon 3 will see the Inklings enter the ‘Splatlands’ – a new sun-scorched desert location best known for its city of chaos Splatsville. This next entry will see the return of Turf War, the story mode, Salmon Run and all sorts of new stages, weapons and content.
Even in this desolate environment, Turf War* reigns supreme and battles rage in new stages located in the surrounding wilds. Dynamic new moves help these fighters dodge attacks and cover more ground, along with a new bow-shaped weapon to sling ink.
Join Agent 3 in a fight against the unruly Octarians in story mode. Discover the secrets of Alterna, the Fuzzy Ooze, and how they connect to the mode’s theme, “Return of the Mammalians.”
Team up and fend off waves of dangero us Salmonid bosses in the next iteration of Salmon Run*, a co-op mode with fresh new features.
