Here comes the confirmation of another indie title for Nintendo Switch. It's about the narrative adventure In Other Waters.
As shared, the game will launch in the console eShop in the spring of this year, although at the moment it has no concrete release date. What we can offer you is its premise and its trailer:
In Other Waters tells the story of Ellery Vas, a xenobiologist who discovers extraterrestrial life while searching for her missing partner. When Minae Nomura calls Ellery to the planet Gliese 677Cc, just to reach an abandoned base, she is drifting in an ocean of secrets, with little more than a diving suit that works poorly and a strange AI as a guide. You are this AI.
In Other Waters, winner of the 2019 IndieCade Europe Jury Prix award, is science fiction without soldiers and violence, focusing instead on wonder and exploration, fear and vulnerability, and the relationship between a living AI and its human pilot. The relationship between the AI and the operator develops on a shocking narrative uniquely interpreted by the player. The depths of Glies 677Cc contain many secrets. For life to continue, it must change. What will you discover by tracking, testing, and discovering about life within this alien ocean?
