Surprise! Nintendo has officially announced that LEGO Luigi will be hitting stores later this year.
We already had an idea that this was coming thanks to a leak on Amazon yesterday (as well as that creepy LEGO Mario firmware update, of course) but here’s the official announcement from Nintendo itself:
“It’s LEGO Luigi time! He’s here to join the adventure, in the LEGO Super Mario Adventures with Luigi Starter Course! Meet up with Pink Yoshi, defeat iconic enemies like Boom Boom, complete spinning seesaw and flying challenges, and collect digital coins all throughout the level.”
This new Luigi set isn’t launching until 1st August, but you can actually go ahead and pre-order it right now. The Luigi Starter Pack costs £49.99 / 59,99$ / $59.99 and contains all of the parts found in the image below.
