One more day we get the news of a new title that will join the extensive catalog of Nintendo's hybrid console. The distributor Armor Games Studios and the developer Glass revolver they will launch the game «pixel bullet-hell adventure» Itta for Switch and PC (Steam) at some point in 2020.

We leave you the general description of the game, through its Steam page, and its trailer:

ITTA is a bullet-hell adventure set in a world full of monstrous bosses. When Itta wakes up and finds herself surrounded by her dead family, her only guide is a strange spirit that takes the form of the family cat that gives her a glowing revolver to protect herself.

Like Itta, players must look for powerful beings locked under this seemingly peaceful world and face each other against them in heartbreaking battles. From huge ancient golems to horrendous creatures, Itta's journey will take us and her to overcome our limits. Fortunately, we can change our combat style by finding weapons with unique attack styles and, if things get difficult, alternate the invincibility or damage multipliers of the player at any time.

ITTA is a game inspired by themes of personal struggle. If there is light, there must be darkness. The important thing is to keep going … no matter what you stand on the road.

Characteristics.:

  • Shoot down 18 deadly bosses in a tight fight, double stick, hell of bullets.
  • Handle an arsenal of spiritual weapons of power to fight in new ways.
  • Discover the mystery of a strange and crumbling world and its cryptic inhabitants.
  • Explore a beautiful world of pixel art backed by disturbing and eclectic music.
  • Never hit a wall; freely alternate damage multipliers or invincibility.

As a curiosity, tell you that your solo developer of Glass Revolver, Jacob Williams, stated the following:

I started designing the ITTA at the end of December 2016 while staying in a psychology room. I was at the lowest point of my life. "Itta" is Japanese for "gone." It was a gloomy and depressing game, with no hint of lightness or hope.

Then, near the end of my stay, an older woman in her 60s who had been there for most of a year approached me and gave me a farewell gift, a papercraft I had made that day. As a reminder to myself, I turned your papercraft into a prominent symbol in the game, spread all over the world. And as my vision of life began to change slowly, so did the game: I didn't want ITTA to no longer have light.
