Japan: Fire Emblem Engage dethroned this week and PS5 No.1

The latest Japanese physical video game software and hardware rankings have arrived from sales tracker Famitsu for the week of January 23, 2023 to January 29, 2022. Last week’s No. 1 Fire Emblem Engage dropped to No. 4 on this week’s software rankings and it was replaced in first place by Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life, which is a remake of the classic Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life should be released this summer here in the west. Sony’s PlayStation 5 outsold the Switch this week, selling an additional 62,908 units. Sales of the Nintendo Switch family were relatively close as 51,108 units were sold. Here are the best selling books in the land of the rising sun.
