The latest batch of mainline Pokemon games Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet may have had a rocky launch technologically, but they’ve performed incredibly well at retail. The latest Japanese sales figures for the retail versions of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet show that the newer games have outsold Pokemon Sword & Shield in just eight weeks. Pokemon Sword & Shield has been on the market for three years. Earlier today, The Pokemon Company said that they will be rolling out a major update for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet at the end of February. It is not clear what will be fixed and added at this time.
