Japanese sales tracker Famitsu has published the top ten charts for the best-selling physical video games of September 2022 and there is no surprise which game claimed the lucrative No.1 spot. That game as you rightly guessed is Nintendo’s very own Splatoon 3 which shifted 2.7 million physical copies. Games Industry reports that 3.9 million boxed games were sold in Japan in September, 2022, which means that Splatoon 3 accounted for 69% of all sales. The Nintendo Switch family of systems managed to sell around 500,000 consoles in September with the OLED Model proving to be the most popular, selling 367,000 alone.
