Platinum Games’ Hideki Kamiya has released an informative blog post detailing their recently announced Bayonetta project, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. Kamiya is currently the supervising director of the game and promises fans an “unforgettable experience.” It’s clear that Kamiya and the rest of the development team are pleased that the project wasn’t leaked before it debuted at The Game Awards earlier this month, saying that “I think a lot of our fans were taken aback by this sudden announcement” and that he believes that the game will appeal to “players who may not be comfortable with action games.” You can read Kamia’s full blog post here.
“I guess some of you might be intimidated by the word “Bayonetta” in the title name – maybe you’re not an expert on hardcore action games, or maybe you’re unfamiliar with Bayonetta lore because you haven’t played any of the games in the series so far. Be convinced! This game is a completely new gaming experience, unlike any Bayonetta game to date. We created Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon with the hope that existing fans of the series will enjoy this unique take on their favorite badass heroine, while also striving to provide an unforgettable experience for players who may not be comfortable with action games… or even players who aren’t at all. meet the Bayonetta series!
I implore you to let your guard down and approach this title with a fresh, open mind as you dive into an adventure set deep in a mysterious forest, controlling the weird and wonderful duo of a somewhat timid and inexperienced young witch and a gruff errant demon.”
