Declared long ago, long, coming SEGA Ages Sonic the Hedgehog 2 because Turnch is guaranteed to incorporate key technology, meaning Knuckles the Echidna will be played in the game as in the old days.
The latest Japanese gaming magazine on Famitsu Weeks (as they report Gematsu) confirmed that Knuckles the Echidna in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 – to give it its full title – it will be included as part of Sonic 2's Torch port when it finally sees the light of day.
For those too young to remember, the Original Mega Drive / Genesis cartridge for Sonic & Knuckles installed & # 39; Lock-on & # 39; which means you can attach your copy Sonic 3 or Sonic 2 up and play those games like Sonic's red rival. Alternatively you can connect Sonic 1 playing thirteen Blue Sphere levels. Good times.
Developer M2 is taking its time in bringing the game to Switch, but to be honest we have already bought Sonic 2 half a dozen times across various consoles, so we're not too keen on it. The excellent retro collection of SEGA Ages has grown steadily over the last few years, via Shinobi and Astonishing Place the most recent addition, so there is no shortage of vintage SEGA you can enjoy in Nintendo's console.
Still, Knuckles' ability to climb the walls puts a new spin on those old levels, and it's great to see the M2 including mode in the Switch edition.
We will certainly be happy to see what else SEGA Ages transformation brings to the table. Let us know when you will buy Sonic 2 again and what is your favorite lock and Knuckles game
