IGN recently had the opportunity to speak with Konami producer Noriaki Okamura about all things Metal Gear Solid. The interviewer asked the question on everyone’s lips, will they bring the acclaimed Metal Gear Solid 4 to modern consoles? Mr. Okamura responded by saying that they are aware of the situation with Metal Gear Solid 4 being unplayable on current video game platforms, but hinted at the inclusion of the game in the newly announced Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
Asked directly about bringing Metal Gear Solid 4 to modern consoles, Okamura replied:
“We are definitely aware of this situation with MGS4. Unfortunately, we can’t say too much about Vol. 1 featuring MGS 1-3 dot dot dot… you can probably connect the dots!
“At the moment we are still internally concerned about what we should do for the future of the series. Unfortunately, we can’t reveal anything at the moment. But stay with us!”
