Ex-Nintendo president and legend of video game, Satoru Iwata, was born on December 6, 1959. Today, he would have celebrated his 60th birthday.
Iwata-san stepped up as Nintendo's fourth company president back in 2002, a position he held until his death in July 2015. If you follow Nintendo in those years, you won't need to tell you how popular he was in the community, both fans of the company, and obviously everyone who had Nintendo's holy halls.
Of course, the big man has received a lot of fines over the last few years – including an afterlife award and recently a book celebrating his life – but we wanted to take this opportunity to grow a toast again. Happy Birthday, Mr. Itwata, and thanks for so many wonderful years.
